Step 1
Apply the thermal grease to the CPU.
Step 2
Pull up the lever to release the fan from the heat sink.
Step 3
Make sure the concave area of the heat sink bottom to face the white convex area of the socket and then place the heat sink on the CPU.
Step 4
The movable part of the clip should be on the white convex side of the socket. First, hook the fix part of the clip and then use a screwdriver to secure the movable part of the clip to the socket.
Step 5
Choose an appropriate direction for the bracket and then place it on the heat sink.
Step 6
Push down the lever to secure the fan to the heat sink.
Step 7
Install the speed controller to a 3.5" front bay.
Step 8
Connect the fan to the fan speed controller.
Step 9
Connect the fan speed controller to the 3-pin fan header on the motherboard.
