Step 1

Remove the screws and the retention frame.

Step 2

Remove the back plate.

Step 3

Place the mounting parts and aim at the mounting holes.

Notice :

The concavity faces downward. (Correct)

The concavity faces upward. (Wrong)

Step 4

Place the washers over the AM2 screws and use the screws to tighten the mounting parts from the back of the motherboard.

Step 5

Apply the thermal grease evenly to the CPU.

Step 6

Place the cooler and align it with the holes.

Step 7

Tighten the screws.

Step 8

Connect the fan’s connector to the motherboard.
