| Today Titan unveiled the RTNV HDD cooler, TTC-HD90, which significantly helps reduce HDD Temperature, Noise, and Vibration. Of course, more important is the actual cooling performance. We tested with a single drive (Samsung SATA 80G 7200RPM model) under load and used thermal probes placed on the areas of the hard disk to get temperature readings. (See the below pictures) |

We also used the software HD Tune 2.53 to test the cooling performance of the hard disk and keep the CPU utilization at a constant 100%. The programs were run for 60 minutes, and test temperature readings were recorded after the temperatures became stable. You can see from the above performance table that the RTNV HDD Cooler is performing very well. Amazingly, it has lowered the chip temperature by nearly 16 degrees Celsius from 56.49C to 40.84C...more than a 27% decrease! From the software HDD tune 2.53, the RTNV HDD cooler has also brought the hard disk temperature down by a sizeable margin: nearly 23%. This should translate to more reliability in the long run and an increased sense of security. The RTNV HDD Cooler not only looks good, but works well too!! |
